Gary Young Email and Phone Number
I'm an Integrative Therapist, Coach and the founder of The Mindful Enterprise, which was launched as a Community Interest Company in March 2017 primarily to tackle the rising problem of mental health issues in society. The mission of the company is to empower people with the tools to increase their health and wellbeing and unlock more of their innate potential through mindfulness-based training, seminars, coaching and immersive retreat experiences. We make these services available to the business sector and to interested individuals and use the profits from that activity to subsidise similar delivery to the education sector and disadvantaged communities.I'm also the Co-creator of a video based mindfulness course for children aged 6-10 years, called SuperMinds, which is adaptable for use at home or in the classroom. Our vision is to influence a change in societal culture here in Scotland where mindfulness becomes an integral part of our communities and education system, helping future generations to grow into healthy, emotionally intelligent, self aware young adults. The desire to help others and ensure they are better equipped for life is at the core of what The Mindful Enterprise do. Building resilience, empowering and inspiring people, and offering real support is the foundation of the business, but it stretches far beyond. In terms of my personal journey, the seed for The Mindful Enterprise came in my childhood. Having a father with serious, recurring, mental health issues showed me how that experience can have a significant effect on all concerned, especially without the knowledge, skills and access to age appropriate support. I have also overcome depression in my adult life which was linked to my early life experiences.Prior to moving into well-being, I spent 23 years in the corporate world as a project and programme manager working on large complex change within the Financial Services sector. To support my transition into coaching and the wellness industry, I embarked on a dedicated journey of healing and self-development, where I explored meditation, yoga, reiki, theta healing, Breathwork (Wim Hof / transformational breath), shamanic healing, neuroscience and epigenetic research.I believe passionately in the power of mindfulness to help unlock human potential, increase wellbeing and enable a change in the way we approach life, to promote the future health and prosperity of the planet.
