I am the subject matter expert and technical lead on revenue generating Bank Deposit Program subsystem which was written in-house and allows the efficiency of sweeping funds between a customers bank and brokerage accounts. I was the lead programmer on Interest Plan project which allowed top customers access to more advantageous interest rate plans by providing flexible rate schedules through newly developed screens.I was an integral part of the project to make the back office system T+2 compliant. This was an industry wide mandate to change settlement date from Trade Date + 3 days to Trade Date + 2 days. Due to changes in company strategy we were asked to complete this project in a very short period of time. We were able to meet the industry wide deadline on time, under budget and with zero issues while also avoiding costly fines.I have successfully completed project using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.Most of the projects have been on the AS400 platform using the COBOL language (both Batch and Interactive) and DB2. I taught myself the following in a very short period of time: Writing SSIS packages Team Foundation Server (TFS)I was able to use this knowledge to successfully convert Advisor Services processes from legacy system to SQL server.

I was one of the Senior programmers on a team that developed a system to track inventory and automate the resupply of Official Checks and Money Orders to financial institutions resulting in a large revenue increase to First Data Corporation.I utilized COBOL, CICS, JCL, IBM utilities, ENDEVOR, INTERTEST and DB2/SQL to write several programs on the IBM Mainframe for the Official Check and Money Order System.I developed and maintained Purchase Order and Shipment Tracking Systems for the Official Check and Money Order unit. This also included performing nightly on-call duties for a very large scale batch system.

I performed the duties of an AS400 Systems Administrator including Disaster Recovery Testing, AS400 security setup, Performance Tuning, PTF installations and IPL. I learned AS400 Systems Administration in a very short period of time and was able to save the company the cost of having to hire an AS400 Systems Administrator. I was the AS400 Technical Lead. Performing functions such as Gathering requirements; Writing Technical Specifications; Coding Programs; Unit Testing; System Testing and Implementation for multiple projects using the SDLC methodologies.I developed and maintained Accounts Receivable; Ledger and Claims Reports and Screens for the Health and Life Product. Many of the programs were coded in AS400 COBOL and some were written in RPG.I customized 3rd party GENELCO insurance package to interface with the Qualmed Health and Life System.I provided customer support in the following areas of the QUALMED Health and Life System: Billing Application; Payment Application Eligibility; Rating; Commissions; Claims; and General Accounting.

I developed and maintained a Banking and Funding system for the Delta Dental and Kaiser Interface; handling claims and treasury on both the IBM AS400 and Mainframe.I created and maintained interfaces using Batch and CICS COBOL for Policy Administration; Strategic Planning; PCS Eligibility; Underwriting and Billing Systems.

I successfully completed all 3 phases of the Systems Engineer Development Training Program including the very difficult and high pressure 10-week Phase 2 classroom training. This consisted of being tested in Assembler, Batch COBOL, JCL and CICS COBOL where I was forced to multi-task in order to pass the training.I developed and maintained a Billing Batch COBOL system.I also created a CICS and IMS/DLI manufacturing application for Delco Electronics
