In addition to helping my clients obtain and manage trademark and copyright registrations, I have handled hundreds of intellectual property disputes, including litigation in federal courts around the country and in proceedings before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. I also have extensive experience advising clients on intellectual property issues related to e-commerce and the internet.In the entertainment industry, I advise and counsel artists, managers, writers, producers, record labels, production companies and filmmakers. I assist clients with setting up appropriate business structures and advise them on strategic decisions to maximize the value of their artistic output and connect more meaningfully with their fans and supporters. I negotiate publishing agreements, recording contracts, management agreements and producer agreements. I also help protect artists' intellectual property assets such as trademarks, copyrights and rights of publicity.In advertising and marketing, I counsel agencies, retailers, manufacturers and other marketers on claim substantiation, testimonials and endorsements, sweepstakes, social media promotions, content creation and influencer agreements and co-marketing agreements. I have handled numerous false advertising cases and proceedings before the National Advertising Division of the Better Business Bureau.
