The report proposed a three stage plan to help students understand the market, show them how to use the careers service to prepare for the selection process, and to help the careers service engage with a broader range of employers to showcase opportunities for engagement at the university.Working with a careers service management team to help them to get careers and employability issues onto the university senior team's agenda. We looked at ways to position the service in the changing political landscape, explored ways to influence upwards, reviewed communication styles, and developed a strategy which would be relevant to colleagues at all levels in the careers service.Supporting the Careers & Enterprise Company's Passport for Life project, an initiative that helps young people understand the benefit of extracurricular activities by connecting the experiences they gain to future work and study opportunities.
