Gary is a Director of Advisory Ltd with particular emphasis on taking forward our key involvement and contribution to Innovations in the Rail sector.Gary has over 30 years experience of working in the transport sector for both rail and aviation clients. He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the British Computer Society who is passionate about the development and support of entrepreneurship in transport environments through the introduction of agile working practices and innovations. Gary has recently worked on the development of improvements to the approaches to rail infrastructure asset management through introduction of novel analysis techniques focussing on bridge, tunnel and train performance monitoring and enhancement.

I manage the Technical Knowledge and Innovation pillar within the Infrastructure and Water business division.

As a Director of Vectra my primary role was to manage the transition into the Arcadis business following the acquisition of the Vectra business. Additionally I was also the lead for the development of the transportation business within Arcadis UK.

Managed the London operations including the risk management project team that worked on the eventually successful Tube Lines PPP bid.

Position was to oversee our team that delivered the safety case for the Amsterdam Zuid high speed railway.

Within Amey-Vectra I managed the safety and risk consultancy business for London based projects. One critical project was our involvement in the Tube Lines PPP. We were also involved in work for Network Rail, business continuity planning.

Helped to build the Risk Solutions management consultancy business.

The work at UoF was to support a fledgling Astrophysics Institue APEX. During this time I wrote a book on spectral analysis (ROBFIT) which was published by the Americal Institute of Physics. I also managed the APEX laboratory.
