Ndi (Ndt) / Quality Assurance
Current• Work independently to plan and execute nondestructive evaluation (NDE) for practical application. • Apply knowledge of aircraft structure, metallurgy, electricity, chemistry, mechanics, and physics to develop, evaluate, and implement nondestructive systems and inspection techniques. • Lead integration of new technologies. • Ensure application of best inspection practices and identify the need for enhanced processes and tools. • Translate engineering requirements into work requirements and tasks. Plan, schedule, and lead others to produce technical work responsive to customer needs within allocated budgets. • Contact customers, teaming partners, subcontractors, and suppliers to exchange technical data and develop new inspection techniques. • Manage customer and supplier relationships and participate on teams to develop fundamental approaches used to solve production issues. • Create and maintain detailed documents (e.g., equipment specifications, standards/process specifications, techniques and training). • Interpret and analyze NDE results to verify acceptability of detail parts or assemblies from the requesting organization (e.g., Quality Assurance, Fabrication, and Engineering). • Travel to provide technology transfer, technical assist, and support qualification of supplier production NDI systems.• Confined space entry, wet and dry cell certified.
