Started in Feb 2019 as Project/Delivery Manager assuming the role delivering CPUC (California Public Utilities Commission) compliance required mandates to the SCE Distributed Resources Planning External Portal (DRPEP). Took over management of a project team of internal and external resources to deliver additional data, software features and functions for GNA (Grid Needs Assessment) and Distribution Deferral Opportunity Report (DDOR) as well as updated 15/15 Rules for 2019 to the portal. Developed parallel switch migration methodology to reduce the potentially high impact cut-over. VoIP Phone Migration & Refresh - Built project plan and processes to better manage the migration of potentially thousands of old Avaya VoIP phones to the new Cisco standard. Managed a major health insurance company's telecommuting solution. This remote workforce solution was technically very well developed and proven. It's an extremely visionary strategy for not just workforce productivity, efficiency but also employee work-life balance. I productized the solution and supported in the migration of the users. I lead the team in updating the current infrastructure components and helped with policies setting. I convinced the primary Internet Service Provider and converted 800 legacy accounts to a lower rate. This was attempted many years prior but never succeeded. The conversion eliminated service interruptions to the 800 users and saved the company potentially tens of thousands of dollars each year.I lead the support teams to build steady-state processes and solidify them which effectively eliminated the need for a project to support end-user deployment. I recommended consolidating the remote workforce Citrix environment with the existing corporate Citrix environment to reduce footprint, save licensing cost and realize corporate level charge back to support the application environment.
