An ACA with 30 years of experience of accounting, reporting, forecasting and financial management at both company and Group level, most recently in an international manufacturing business. Great at building relationships, working with and supporting people at all levels of an organisation, both within as well as outside the finance function, with an ability to get stuck in to the detail and be 'hands on' while still seeing the bigger picture. I have spent the last 16 years in the manufacturing sector, and so I have comprehensive cost and management accounting experience within a manufacturing environment, as well as possessing a strong “business partnering” mind set, developing a good understanding of the wider business to effectively support and advise operational and strategic decision-making, which I believe is critical to the modern finance function.Having worked in both PLC and private companies, I have built up extensive management, financial and statutory reporting experience (IFRS and UK GAAP) and significant treasury management experience at both Group and Company level. I have been responsible for several system implementations and so I possess excellent IT and systems skills including SAP, Microsoft Excel, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), Oracle Hyperion HFM and Sage. In addition developing management information to improve internal reporting, performance analysis and decision making has been a key part of my current and previous roles and I have a proven ability to identify and implement robust and effective system and process improvements in today’s rapidly changing business environment. I am an experienced team leader having recruited, trained and developed several finance teams.
Listed skills include Financial Reporting, Forecasting, Internal Controls, Managerial Finance, and 32 others.

This has resulted in much greater understanding and transparency of financial performance across the business, as well as serving to develop the skills and experience of two members of my team who now carry out most of these reviews.
