In May 2021, I joined forces with Kevin Chou and Mahesh Vellanki to co-found, architect and launch SuperLayer, a venture studio building web3 consumer startups. As COO, I wear two hats: 1) drive the operational success of the SuperLayer management team and returns to the SuperLayer Fund and 2) serve as interim COO of a handful of early-stage web3 projects to help bring them to market, tokenize and fundraise.

Unite is a gaming web3 infrastructure that has published 10+ mobile games with over 5M downloads titles including Bored Button, Worde and Mom's Kitchen

As an advisor to the founding team, I helped organize and execute the initial $2.4M fundraise and continue to support operations, sales and GTM.

As an advisor to the CEO, I support fundraising, business development, and general business strategy.

The Giants Community Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, collaborates with the San Francisco Giants by using baseball as a forum to encourage underserved youth and their families to live healthy, productive lives. The Fund supports Junior Giants leagues throughout Northern California, Nevada and Oregon and provides assistance to targeted community initiatives in the areas of Education, Health and Violence Prevention. Since joining the Board in 2017, I helped launch an initiative that brought together emerging leaders innovating at the intersection of sports and philanthropy to empower underserved youth and their families supported by the Giants Community Fund.

As the Operating Managing Director for Samsung Next Ventures, I lead the operational side of our Venture arm at Samsung Next, overseeing our early-stage venture incubation efforts, global portfolio company support program, in-house Venture tooling development for lead generation and portfolio management, and fund execution and logistics.

As the GM of Samsung NEXT in Silicon Valley, I oversee our two offices and am responsible for creating the culture and processes that enable our 100+ NEXT employees in Silicon Valley to thrive, while deeply engaging the startup community by leveraging the best of Samsung and NEXT to help build, grow and scale their success. I also led the execution of our early-stage "in-residence" program in SV, funding and advising seed-stage SAAS startups including UnumID, Discreet.AI, BentoML, and Archipelo.

As the Sr. Director of Ops, I continued to oversee the operational expansion of our Berlin and Tel Aviv offices, while helping gain internal approval and launch of the NEXT Investment Fund, leading operations as we executed our first 15+ seed investments. In addition, I developed the strategy, go-to-market plan and launch for our Platform effort in 2018, which formalized the global set of resources and services that NEXT provides to our investment portfolio companies outside of basic Samsung collaboration. Hired in the full Platform team and contractors, managed P&L and established and delivered against KPIs.

As the Director of Ops & Global Expansion, I helped grow our innovation footprint from a 5-person team in Korea to 200+ people globally across the Bay Area, New York, Tel Aviv, Europe and Korea. I specifically focused on launching and leading new startup-centric initiatives for NEXT. In leading the Global Ops team, I achieved the following:• Helped architect the Samsung NEXT model while working in Korea in 2012, and moved to the Bay Area in 2013 to launch our first and second offices in SF and NY.• Led BD initiatives, including the creation of a new business for Samsung Visual Display leveraging proprietary 3D conversion technology (2012), and facilitating partnerships with tech startups for distribution deals on Samsung flagship devices including phones, TVs, tablets and refrigerators (10+ deals from 2013-2015). • Co-developed our first incubation model in 2013 (Samsung Accelerator) and led operational roll-out and support, which resulted in ~40 funded teams, eight internal acquisitions by Samsung and one spin-out (Cultivate). • Led New Market Development, leading the expansion to our first international office in Tel Aviv (research, validation, selection, staffing and operational launch) in 2014-2015 and then Berlin in 2016-2017.

I worked as a summer intern in CAA Sports, providing assistance in both the consulting and golf divisions. As part of my responsibilities, I:• Created 100-day plan to launch CAA Golf. Devised market entry strategy, lead corporate outreach, and aided in the recruiting and negotiation CAA Golf’s first client, Greg Norman.• Aided in the recruitment and acquisition of new consulting clients.• Evaluated acquisition and joint venture opportunities for the golf division• Developed and pitched proposal for creating iPhone applications for international sports authorities

I volunteered as a Kiva Fellow from May 20th through August 1, 2008. I was placed with DINARI in Bali and worked with DINARI's staff of 60 to grant, track and document loans to the rural and urban poor in Bali. Kiva provides interest-free loans to people around the world, which are administered by local microfinance organizations in that country. During my time with DINARI, I facilitated the relationship between DINARI and Kiva, met with local entrepreneurs, documented the loan impact, prepared and delivered trainings and restructured the local MIS database.

• Performed market research using company filings and analyst reports and devised a strategy for claiming damages in medical device litigation, resulting in a damages increase of 40%• Managed team of three to develop a historical competitor analysis in the mining industry, which became the central analysis in litigation, resulting in a record $6 billion in damages for our client• Led team of six in performing detailed testing of revenue recognition for a Fortune 500 company, resulting in five years of financial restatements. Organized data, summarized results and presented findings to senior management. Received prestigious award for project leadership• Created Excel graphing model for analyzing the prevalence of stock option backdating, which was adopted nationwide as the Navigant company standard for over 20 stock option cases• Assisted in Business Development by identifying new leads, creating and delivering summary presentations and developing and utilizing relationships in the industry
