Provision of support and development of internal I.T. infrastructure and related systems i.e. CCTV, Digital Presses. Design, development and implementation of group Web services including CMS and Social Media platforms. Mangement of MIS system integration with current infrastructure.Mangement and implementation of :- Group wide infrastructure refresh projects e.g. Antivirus and desktop Operating System.- Infrastructure rationalisation. - Mission critical services resilience.

• Providing third line support to the Service Desk and technical guidance to Infrastructure Engineers.• Technical lead on all systems design, implementation of and infrastructure planning for all Perfect Image’s clients.• Project and resource management of Infrastructure projects both internally and for Perfect Image’s clients.• Technical pre-sales assessment of all Perfect Images client’s IT infrastructure.• Line manager for a team of four staff.

• Provision of 2nd line support to end-users and 3rd line support to Helpdesk staff.• Management of desktop security patching for EMEA region including Microsoft operating system and also third party software (e.g. Adobe products, Microsoft Office etc).• Management of anti-malware security protection (Symantec Endpoint Protection) for both desktop client and server operating systems.• Installation of updates and software patches to server operating systems and hundreds of client operating systems via Altiris rapid deployment solution or other scripted/automated methods (i.e. VB script, Group Policy, Windows Software Update server etc).• Investigation and resolution of infrastructure related problems, i.e. server failures at both hardware and software levels.• Investigation and resolution of site wide problems that result in the loss of a service or performance degradation of a service i.e. client network communication failures, client OS logon problems, file access performance issues, etc.• Routine maintenance of servers and desktop operating systems, i.e. firmware patching, driver upgrades, OS and application service pack installations etc.• Management, maintenance and troubleshooting of Active Directory environment i.e. group policy, user group administration, Active Directory replication, DFSr etc.• Special project work for example I began the development of the standalone deployment of a Windows 7 image to be used to build client workstations situated on my employers oil tankers for a small disconnected Active Directory domain.

• Providing third line support to the I.T. Support section and technical guidance to Infrastructure assistants.• Designing, planning and testing of security changes in relation to both server and client operating systems via group policy.• Special project work for example the implementation of an alerting and monitoring platform to assist with proactive and reactive maintenance of a server estate compromising of 18 sites and approximately 50 servers, including the documentation of all monitoring rules and templates for handover to the support section.

• Daily administration and maintenance of an enterprise server infrastructure consisting of approximately 100 servers and around 30,000 users using an Active Directory based domain.• Providing support to end-users, I.T. Services technicians and development staff, especially in relation to Active Directory, server operating systems, and client desktop problems.• Designing, implementing and supporting enterprise wide solutions over a multi geographical site infrastructure to meet the business requirements of the College using primarily Microsoft technologies.• Designing and implementing server consolidation programmes using both Microsoft HyperV and VM Ware technologies.• Ensuring that the I.T. infrastructure is adequately protected against security vulnerabilities and data loss both from external and internal threats. • Developing the infrastructure and procedures to enhance the support function of the I.T. This has reduced the estimated time taken for software to be installed from 21 days to on average a 3 day lead time.
