I have developed many relationships with other agents in my career and also would love to build a bigger referral network.I worked in the tech field for four years and when that fell apart I came to a crossroads. It was opening a restaurant or go into real estate. It took no time to realize how much I loved real estate. Once I got my license I hit the ground running. I was going after buyers and sellers everywhere I could find them. My first day in real estate was spent sitting in a subdivision under a tree with a company banner attached to my table with some Gatorade and I spoke to almost everyone that drove or walked by. I truly love this business.I have worked with traditional real estate, commercial real estate, foreclosures, REOs & short sales. I have been licensed in Georgia, Virginia & Maryland.     When Gary first started at Exit Bennett Realty in 2009 he had not too long ago moved from Georgia to Maryland. Starting over in a different state was a bit challenging, especially the way the real estate market was at the time. However he knew exactly what to do as he had always done it before. It was time to change with the market and move in the direction that it was going. This was the yearGary started doing broker price opinions, or bpo's for short.Many times Gary would be in the office completing up to 100 reports per week, slowly chipping away the ultimate goal of getting bank foreclosure (reo's) listings. Gary's dedication to his craft is like non other, and quickly many of the agents in his office started to take notice. What it took some agents years to get, Gary did it in less than 6 months when he got his first foreclosure listing. That night he was in the office as usual working on bpo's when the email came in, then another, and another. 3 listings in one night, and he never looked back.Gary started to go by the name "Mr. Foreclosure" and business really took off. The same dedication he had in getting to his goal was the same dedication he used to keep getting listings. Gary then went on to become both a certified reo specialist and a certified short sale specialist. One of his asset managers took notice of how well Gary performed and introduced him to RealEstateAuctions.com in 2012. The rest as they say, is history.

    Gary left Coldwell Banker in 2005 and went on to work for Exit Team Realty. This decision wasn't a very difficult one to make as the training offered at Exit was second to none. There Gary continued to sell new construction homes, and started to learn more about commercial real estate. Gary was asked to sell his first commercial property in 2006, which was a daycare. Gary went on to get some mentors in the commercial arena and really dove in head first in learning commercial real estate from every angle. Commercial real estate really became a passion for Gary and he wanted to learn more and get some more commercial deals under his belt. After selling the daycare he was asked to sell another commercial property, and yes you guessed it, it was another daycare.After selling the second daycare he started to learn more about selling shopping centers, office buildings and multi family properties. Gary also started to work with investors at this time and was learning every aspect of real estate. Gary continued to work in the commercial and residential side of real estate until 2008 when he sold his house in Georgia and moved to Maryland. Though Gary still kept an active Georgia license, he moved it from Exit to H&S Real Estate Services in 2010.Though Gary was in Maryland he still sold a few properties in Georgia when he was called upon. Ultimately he decided to focus on Maryland as he was building his foreclosure business. He eventually stopped selling real estate in Georgia in 2012

    Gary moved to Georgia from Florida in 2003 and new real estate was the way he was going to go. A friend of his was a Realtor in Florida and from the stories he was told he instantly new it was what he was going to do. Gary signed up for the course in the early part of 2004. After 75 hours of course time, a test and then the state test, Gary was licensed in September 2004. Now what? That was the question on the minds of many of the students that passed with him. He decided to place his license with Coldwell Banker Holtzman Realtors and hit the ground running. There were many agents in the office and while it was difficult to get started he had a plan. Gary got with another agent who was fairly new to real estate as well and decided to target new home sales. Gary spent weeks driving around town, learning the subdivisions, and the neighborhoods. Learning the market and the home prices in different areas of the counties he worked in. Gary would go to new home subdivision every Sunday and walk through the homes being built to familiarize himself with the layout. He would also meet many people who were just looking and he would give them a card. Things were moving along slowly, but little did he know a crazy idea was about to change everything.One day while at the office, Gary was talking to a friend of his that was also a Realtor at Coldwell Banker. They decided to hold an entire subdivision open that day, with no prior planning. It was a hot outside that day but hey, why not see what happens. They both grabbed a table, a Coldwell Banker banner and some gatorade and drove out to the subdivision. They set up in front a tree for some shade, laid out the table and the banner and sat there and spoke to everyone that drove in.The next 3 months left in the year Gary sold more new construction than he thought he would ever sell. He sold so many homes he was nominated for the rookie of the year award within the company. Real estate was now in his blood.
