As the President and founder of Teknotics, I am the principal strategist, visionary, and lead architect for managed IT service solutions, including Cloud technologies. I oversee and direct the execution and delivery of all technical projects and manage the company administration, from training and leading my team of specialists in on-time project delivery of solutions to developing and maintaining budgets and profit and loss. I also:• Architect and implement cost-effective Cloud solutions including email, storage, computing, backups, and disaster recovery to significantly reduce the cost of ownership associated with on-premise solutions while providing high availability, resiliency, durability, security, and scalability.• Implement and manage data backup and disaster recovery Cloud solutions to protect critical customer data and ensure business continuity.

I led my team in developing enterprise management tools for large nationwide customer voice and data networks. I directed daily operations and the administration of complex nationwide enterprise networks and managed implementation of network security, including firewall configurations, B2B VPNs, and client VPNs. Working directly with large enterprise customers, I also built and implemented enterprise management systems that proactively monitored and managed large customer enterprise networks. This, along with performing daily network operations, upgrades, mergers, and migrations aligned with customer business growth objectives, ensured minimal performance issues and downtime.

I managed an engineering team in daily operations, special engineering projects, and development of operational processes and procedures. I designed and implemented an innovative IT disaster recovery platform as well as physical components, security, and the services of a state-of-the-art internet data center network.

I configured and managed corporate wide storage area networks. This included monitoring critical metrics and performing diagnostics on servers, networks, and SAN switches as well as providing technical support and administration of multi-platform UNIX systems. I also developed an enterprise management system built around open source tools and custom developed software.

I directed cross-functional teams in developing a custom Operations Support System (OSS) and web portal based on J2EE. I selected network management, troubleshooting, and analysis tools and designed and developed the VoIP network component management requirements and supporting architecture. I also planned and executed operational processes and deployment test plans.

I managed a team that was chartered to develop, standardize, and provide tier III support of hosted customer solutions. I also directed implementation and service delivery of special network projects.

I led the Engineering team and served as the chief architect for business critical solutions including bandwidth monitoring and reporting systems, enterprise backup solutions, enterprise management systems, and a multi-site interoffice VPN infrastructure. I also designed and implemented customer solutions involving security, load balancing, large UNIX systems, and networking, performed extensive configurations and troubleshooting of complex fault tolerant Cisco switched and routed networks utilizing advanced technologies, and managed BGP routing with our upstream providers.

I was the team leader on customer engagements. My responsibilities included hands-on technical management, sales support, and project management. I supported all aspects of customer IT environments from networks to applications. My accomplishments included developing enterprise management solutions melding commercial and open source tools and designing and implementing a complex remote operations center to manage approximately 15 disparate customer networks.

I developed mission critical networks to support the Space Station Freedom and Space Shuttle Projects while providing leadership in all aspects of project assignments from initial requirements and design development through qualification acceptance testing. I also developed and managed a NASA/JSC campus-wide computer network which provided connectivity to the Internet, other NASA locations, and contractor sites.
