Prior to developing skills as a programmer and later as an IT infrastructure engineer, worked for National Shooting Sports Foundation writing magazine and newspaper releases about safe participation in the shooting sports.Future interests include going back to outdoor photography and perhaps writing; it was freelance work for Wildlife in North Carolina magazine (published by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission) that led to my full-time work at NSSF before being captivated by the exploding need for computer programmers in the early 1980s.
