Throughout my career, I have been fascinated by the power of technology as a transformative agent in education. As CEO of Twine, I'm excited to be bringing these transformations to schools of all sizes.Access to a quality education is crucial to the future of every child, while also benefiting society at large. This is what has has driven me in my career to help support and improve education. My start in Ed-Tech began at Emory University in the mid 1990s where I had the good fortune to help lead the rollout of a collaboration platform known as LearnLink. What none of us anticipated back then is that we had become pioneers in the use of social networking for schools. Academically, I worked with faculty to apply these tools for what would today be called blended learning; in the course of just a few years, we had shifted the teaching model at Emory to incorporate online classrooms as a standard practice to augment traditional classes.Since launching Aptiris in 1998 and Twine in 2015, I've continued my focus on the use of technology to improve operations and drive innovation in education. It is exciting to be delivering enterprise-class solutions not just to large public institutions, but to small and medium independent schools that otherwise end up with a patchwork of tools and systems.
