This involved preparing schedules, ingesting media, routing and recording incoming feeds, soft parted time code editing and graphics creation. I also dealt with a large volume of Live content which required co-ordination with other providers on their content and break format.The role involved operating a range of transmission based broadcast equipment and software; most notably, Landscape scheduling software, Servrload media management, VT decks, XY router panels, standards converters and variety of mixing desks. -
Editor / Camera OpRoom 88 Productions May 2007 - Jun 2008I worked with Room 88 productions after graduating college on a contract basis. I was initially employed as a Final Cut Pro Editor where I was trusted with managing projects after they had been filmed. This consisted of editing and producing the footage to its final completion and included audio mastering, colour grading, graphics and cover design.Within a few months I began managing my own projects from organising the shoot, carrying out the filming and mastering the edit to completion.I participated in other parts of the company with a more marketing and sales emphasis, which allowed me to gain new experience and skills. I was also given the opportunity to utilise my other media development skills by producing the company website and graphical identity for Wedding Bells Video, business cards, CD-ROMs and price lists.
