TRC Solutions administers the Clean Energy Program for the State of New Jersey. I am responsible to establish outreach and education to public and private sector entities that need assistance in energy related issues. Previously working with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities has provided an understanding of Board initiatives, utility programs and new energy technologies, allowing me to provide options to users to with better clarity to give clients the best solution for their specific needs.

The Business Ombudsman is a legislatively-mandated office within the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, and the Office of Clean Energy. Responsibilities include assisting commercial and government sectors to become more energy efficient using State incentives within the Clean Energy Program, as well as awareness of Federal programs. Ultimate goals include the retention of existing businesses and attraction of new businesses to the State. Additionally, it is essential to work closely with local and county governments to provide program information that will help lower energy costs to their respective taxpayer, as well as providing insight to resiliency measures to improve their ability to provide essential services during extreme events. Experience as a government representative has been invaluable to developing relationships with existing government leaders. The Ombudsman works with Board staff in developing public information programs and communication material designed to acquaint and educate business and local government about energy issues. Additionally, my office recommends program changes that will benefit greater participation to the Clean Energy Program, involving energy reduction plans, effecting both public and private sectors. My office has worked to make the necessary changes to larger performance contracting projects in the public sector, as it relates to the Energy Savings Improvement Program (ESIP). Implemented the current rules and regulations that certified ESCO's are permitted to work in the State.The Ombudsman, becomes the conduit when issues arise between business or government and the regional utility partner. This may include negotiating a resolution between the two entities before litigation comes into play. I was involved with encouraging favorable tariffs from utilities that permit street lighting conversions to LED, when municipalities are involved.

Providing needs assessment and strategic planning to new and developing companies and corporate divisions, including operations, marketing, procurement and training. Coordinated industrial site clean-up for preparation of sale. Overseeing hazardous waste removal, and building clean-up while maintaining all necessary safety measures to comform with local regulations. Managed all final A/P transactions for site owner.

Haddonfield & Voorhees

Helped establish CSS, an employee screening company deal with drug testing and background screening, during it's initial start-up in the drug testing market. Developed the marketing plan and corporate identity to gain a presence in the industry. Managed the product division, where I had used my skills in procurement negoiations and developing vendor relationships to acquire the best and latest products and pricing available to be competitive in our defined market segments, while providing profit margins of 30%.Designed all web-based training programs to teach and certify product use. Implemented initial web-based e-store for product purchasing. Designed all marketing materials and trade show graphics. Implimented email sales using technology efficiencies found in Vertical Marketing.Prepared all governemnt and private sector bid replies, obtaining highly prized contracts in Florida, Maryland, Iowa and New Jersey.Stategic partner in helping to double annual sales, every year, for the first 4 years.

Voorhees, New Jersey

Distributor of on-site drug testing devices, with a market specialization in the employee staffing sector. Developed initial business plan and all marketing material. Grew sales to $1.0 million before merging with CSS Test Inc.

Provided temporary employees to the light industry sector.Developed business and marketing plans to establish and grow a successful company.Directed all requirements for meeting client needs. Prepared budgets and managed revenues, including all tax liabilities. Maintained compliancy with all State and local government agencies. Obtained special hearing s before the NJ Department of Labor regarding the disregard of laws by specific market competitors.Expanded a second office in Paulsboro NJ, to better provide our clients needs. Accomplished sales growth to over $1.7 million in 2 years.

Served as Mayor for 4 years and elected as a member of Township Committee for 15 years. Very successful at identifying community needs and putting together programs to impliment those needs.Established the first-ever Parent-based community alcohol testing program, encouraging a parental involvement approach to averting substance abuse.Held positions on the Planning Board, Environmental Commission, Welfare Board, Chaiman of Economic Development; Implimented a comprehensive Township marketing / branding program including logo's and signage. (still in use today)As Economic Development Chairman, helped lay the foundation for the Voorhees Business Association.Established the first Open Space funding program that was the basis for a majority of current protected open space, including Connolly Park, and Staffords Farm.

Consistantly improved productivity through team building techniques and design improvements.Responsible for safety compliancy including all OSHA requirements.Coordinated all national trade shows, including booth design, product placement and shipment schedules. Also participated in preparing sales information and presentations at the shows.Procurement specialist for all product, including over-seas purchasing.Designed new product and was granted 2 patients, from the US Patient office.
