Serial entrepreneur, investor, and a pioneer in Cybersecurity. Currently I am the Chairman and CEO of Haystax, a company I acquired in 2015. I was previously founder and CEO of Fishtech Group, a Cybersecurity company I founded in 2015 and sold to PE firm Apax in 2021. Prior to Fishtech Group I had previously founded, operated, and sold FishNet Security, the first Cybersecurity security integrator in the world to reach over 700mm in annual revenues. FishNet ultimately grew to ~800mm in annual revenues before it was sold to private equity group Blackstone in 2014. I had also founded FireMon, the first security software firm to address automated security device management that was sold to Insight Partners in 2014. Since 1996, I have founded, acquired, and sold more than a dozen technology companies. Throughout my career, I have been recognized many times for my achievements in business and technology; to name a few I was named a technology entrepreneur of the year by Ernst and Young, a Security Super Star by CRN, a Kansas City Top 100 Business Leader for four years running, a Distinguished Alumni by DeVry University, Henry W. Bloch School of Management Entrepreneur of the Year, and was inducted into the Kansas City Business Hall of Fame. Besides having a strong business acumen, I have also been known for my philanthropic work, along with my wife Ann, particularly in causes supporting children and animals. Fishtech Labs is focused on developing next generation technology solutions. Our current project is code named Cyderes. We are building a Cyber Defense Platform using automation, machine learning, and data analytics to streamline Cyber Defense operations. We are exploring the use of next generation voice, gesture, and visual technology to enable quicker hands off keyboard response within our Cyber Defense Center.
