Gary is the founder and President of Performance CXO, a management consulting firm focused on increasing revenue, EBITDA, and enterprise value. PerformanceCXO helps companies harness decades of executive management experience without the expense of hiring a full time senior executive.Gary is the past President of Pinnacle EMS, a business solutions firm focused on solving complex, data heavy environmental and land problems. Pinnacle is actively involved in environmental claims management, developing innovative GIS and custom knowledge management solutions, as well as other helping clients solve other data heavy, complex problems. In short, Pinnacle is a knowledge focused organization working to help others solve their knowledge challenges.Gary also recently served as the President and CEO of The Brooks Group, a corporate sales training company focused on helping companies build top-performing sales teams. In this role, he was focused on the refinement of the company’s mission and strategy, revenue and EBITDA growth, and increasing enterprise value. Specifically, Gary led the development of blended learning solutions, rapid product development, and enhanced consultative services.Prior to President and CEO, Gary was Chief Marketing Officer at The Brooks Group and was responsible for leading the creation and execution of a marketing strategy to drive inbound leads. Using traditional, digital, and social media marketing tools, the marketing team was tasked with working closely with the sales team to generate high quality leads that converted into clients. Gary’s industrial engineering background has given him the unique ability to analyze the corporate structure – identifying process gaps and ensuring organizational effectiveness through a confluence of the right people, the right process, and the right products. These skills have served him well across all of his positions and specifically helped drive the change in business model required by the pandemic. Prior to the pandemic The Brooks Group primarily trained in live, instructor led classes and all of that changed with the inability to travel and gather.Gary is the immediate past board chair for the MBA program at the University of North Carolina Greensboro and is a 2021 C-Suite honoree named by the Triad Business Journal. He obtained a Bachelor of Industrial and Systems Engineering degree from Georgia Tech, and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. He also holds a degree in restaurant management from Waffle House University. Gary resides in Greensboro, North Carolina.
