This group is now meeting quarterly to continue a great group. Open Networking and Business Relationship Building to Help people take their careers to the next level.While laid off I had an out placement package to Right Management (Part of ManPower). I noticed many people networked very hard to find a job but seemed to stop after they found it. So talking to my peers one day I came up with the idea of a networking group to allow people to continue their relationships and build new ones while giving back to others that are in the same position we where at some point in our career. I set up an open networking group that meets once a month in the central Ohio area to allow people to continue and build new business relationships. We average over 20 people a month that show up. It is a 50/50 percent of people working and displaced workers. We all openly share information and try to help each other out. I believe we as a group have helped place 1 person every one to two months. Either by helping them make the connection, update their resume, give them ideas, or something else. We also have many that have built life long friendships and business relationships.Many recruiters will call me or come to our event looking for the excellent quality people we have showing up. But it would not be possible without the interest of the many that show up.
