In one of the UK's largest rehoming centres I was running the day to day operations for the Glasgow Centre, delivering the centre managers vision for the centre as a whole and ensuring that at every opportunity our team were living and breathing the charity values to the public. Managing and challenging 52 multi skilled colleagues across operations and other departments such as the home from home foster program, the canine carer team, the behaviour team and also the volunteer coordinator for the glasgow centre. As well as this, I saw my role as overlapping and building good relationships with the community teams, such as the Eduction Officer and the Supporter Relations Officer by doing tours when asked, and helping with the SRO events on site. With anything up to 100 dogs on site at any one time, delivering the absolute highest standard of animal welfare was our mission on a daily basis.

Renfrew Street is Europes flagship cinema, It is an 18 screen multiplex generating over 2 million admissions per year and business levels making it one the busiest cinemas in the world with revenue of £12 million per year.Manage all operations across the cinema with over 220 colleagues and 11 managers, including leading and challenging my team to drive forward thinking innovative ways to aggresively maintain our market share as the dominant force in Glasgow. As well as the Renfrew Street site part of my role was to run smaller satellite sites in Glasgow.

I have several things I am very proud of within my time with the company, which included an award at the national conference after my first full year in Clydebank, as well as becoming the Training Store Manager, where managers trained by me still work for the company today. I also played key roles in regional projects, such as assisting the Area Manager as project manager as the biggest macro/micro refit the company had even undertaken in 2006 called ‘project unity’.I also helped open several stores in Scotland in the store opening team, and also supported these stores for an initial period after opening. I also had regional responsibilities in collating figures from the area as well as data analysis prior to sending onto the area manager.
