With over 20 years of experience in education, across international and UK schools as well as the primary, secondary, further and higher education sectors, education and training continues to be an area I am passionate about.My passion for education is only matched by my passion for technology and its use to drive improvement and greater efficiency. In schools this has very much been about use of technology in the classroom, which has seen my involvement in educational technology projects, IT strategy development for schools and also national conferences in the UAE and Kuwait. I have also spent significant time looking at how technology can help with data driven decision making within educational establishments including the use of Business Intelligence solutions..In the last two years cyber security has been a particular area of focus and interest examining IT risk management and GDPR preparations among other areas. This has led me to seek Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) status.I also am interested in human habits and behaviour and continue to read around the subject. This has a clear bearing both in relation to education and training but also in relation to usability of IT systems and also the development of effective cyber security measures.
