Rebuilding the commercial sales unit since Jan 2017 relaunch, the RDM plays a vital role in engineering a NEXT generation company through culture and a highly specialized and efficient rare disease business model. Patient centricity is a cultural cornerstone as well as social awareness skills and emotional intelligence competencies that are all essential to support a highly collaborative and effectual concierge rare disease business and service model. The RDM hires, coaches, and manages the RDS team as well as works alongside them in business development and as a thought leader liaison to Endocrinology and Cardiology. The RDM cultivates regional Key External Experts (KEEs) at Centers of Excellence (COE) like the NIH. The national disease expert network can help local specialists with identifying and diagnosing generalized lipodystrophy and homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (GL/HoFH). Disease prevalences can range from 1-500k to 1-10 million. The RDM is geographically aligned to shared service partners: Patient Engagement team, Medical Science Liaisons, Market Access experts and Registered Dietitians. The RDM strategically coordinates and directs an inside sales team. These inside based Rare Disease Partners discover leads through analytical data mining as well as supporting Rare Disease Specialists and their managers with lead development. RDM collaborates with RDS team to manage partner services in a seamless, highly responsive concierge approach to medical professionals and patients. Rare disease education, branded marketing strategies and tactics are followed and deployed across the Northeast region. From 10/2018 to 02/2020 served as Interim US Marketing Director. Aegerion became Amryt 9/2019.
