I am a Fellow of RICS, having qualified in 1992, and a member of the RICS President’s Panel of Experts. I am regularly appointed by the RICS President to determine valuation disputes, particularly on residential and commercial development matters. I undertake a mixed project caseload, principally in the south of England, of:• Residential land disposals.• Dispute resolution as an Independent Expert, typically for the determination of land value under Option Agreements and in overage disputes.• Expert Witness evidence, particularly in residential and commercial development matters.• Financial viability assessments for Planning purposes.• Development consultancy.I joined Vail Williams in June 2018, on the firm’s merger with Hughes Ellard, where I was Managing Director. Prior to joining Hughes Ellard in 1995, I worked in London and Austria for Healey & Baker (now Cushman and Wakefield).I was a founding director of Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and served as Chairman from 2013-2020. In this role, I was at the forefront of the regional economic development agenda and negotiated Solent’s £150m Growth Deal with government. I have also served as President of Hampshire Chamber of Commerce.
