These devices work in conjunction with the instant card production process and allow customers to immediately set their Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) and activate their cards. To further improve customer service by increasing throughput, these devices were also configured to quickly and positively identify customers by PIN number rather than by ID book or signature verification.
