Managed the national Switch certification process that allowed the Bank to connect and utilize the national ATM/POS network. • Card Production and Card Management - Gary solely designed and built a thermal printer interface and card production system that allowed the bank to offer an instant ATM card at the counter. This first in the Zimbabwean banking arena market, earned the company a Computer Suppliers Association award for innovation in the year 2000. • In-Branch POS devices – The Kingdom business model called for a Point Of Sale (POS) device to be present at all teller stations in the Bank. These devices work in conjunction with the instant card production process and allow customers to immediately set their Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) and activate their cards. To further improve customer service by increasing throughput, these devices were also configured to quickly and positively identify customers by PIN number rather than by ID book or signature verification.
