I am an experienced writer, Public Health Program developer, Disease Intervention Specialist, Public Health Educator, policy generator, advocate and political gadfly with the ability to convince legislators on both side of the aisle and educate to legislate. I have been an insider and influencer for the Medical cannabis industry in Florida before there was an industry here, and actively helping to steer, mold and shape it with integrity and ethics. That is a difficult task for an industry that was birthed in an illegal, dark world.In my work with the CDC, I used Contact Tracing and Education programs to mediate outbreaks of STD(including HIV, syphilis and others) and TB. I stress the need to develop accountable Public Health Programs and Policy with measurable impact that increase access to health and wellness resources, improve healthcare and reduce costs to patients, decrease the financial impact to government payer systems and mitigate the impact of uncompensated care to providers. Millions can be saved by governmental payer programs such as Medicaid/Medicare and by providers, service can be improved, and communities can become healthier.
