About Gary C. Kessler
Experienced educator/trainer, researcher, and practitioner with a demonstrated history in higher education. I took my first computer programming class in 1973 and have been involved in one aspect or another of computer/information security since the late-1970s. I was engaged in data communications training for most of the 1980s and 1990s, started working with law enforcement and digital forensics in 1999, and have been in higher education since 2000, where I am now a retired tenured full professor of cybersecurity. My areas of research today are in the maritime cybersecurity space, which fits my interests as a boat captain, USCG Auxiliary coxswain, and SCUBA instructor!
