Count on me. Count on me to navigate the gray space, to bring people together, to connect customers to great products. Most of all, count on me to show up!Potential drives me. The potential for a team, a product, or an organization to wake up each day slightly better than the last. I am currently the General Manager for a large, custom, and highly technical air compression P&L with over 330 employees spanning 12 countries and 5 continents. Depending on the day, and even the hour, I am a coach, a manager, a forecaster, a listener, a problem solver, a motivator, a customer advocate, and a friend. Leveraging perspective from my diverse career path, world-class training, and product knowledge, my team and I have taken a declining product line, and grown it over 40%, increasing market share by 5 points and earnings by 6 points. Moreover, we did this in the midst of migrating our only factory half way across the world in record time, through a merger, a global pandemic, and a trade war. Prior to my roles in the compression industry, I held a 16-year career at GE Transportation with executive roles in international product management and global locomotive technology. The skills needed to be a successful global product leader came from the incredible foundation of technical, operations, and commercial leadership that being a 4-year member of GE’s Corporate Leadership Staff afforded me. Through big global roles and constant change of functions, business units, and perspective, I have learned to be comfortable being uncomfortable. From traveling the country of India to help secure a monumental $2B locomotive deal, to moving to Manila, Philippines to start a stationary power beachhead for SE Asia, to being a keynote speaker as we launched our companies latest infrastructure investment for growth in China; I realize that success only comes through persistence, grit, teamwork, and relationships. My work has taken me to over 50 countries, which has in turn only increased my travel bug. When I am not trying to find the next travel adventure with my family, I am an aspiring wake surfer and weight lifter. Most importantly, I am a father to three amazing boys who add a completely new meaning to life. I believe the best is yet to come.
