Provided process safety management support including facilitating HAZID and HAZOP studies for existing and greenfield industrial gas and hydrogen production plants to ensure that revalidation PHAs were scheduled and conducted at existing facilities to meet regulatory compliance. Responsible for upgrading Corporate Process Safety Standards to incorporate best practices and established Work Flow Processes to align the execution of HAZOP studies on capital projects.

Proposed, secured and cost effectively managed projects involving Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), comprehensive Process Safety Management (PSM) Program development and Primatech Training Institute course instruction. Generated proposals and successfully secured project awards, managed, and led over 80 PHAs and PSM projects involving a variety of batch and continuous processes such as amine treaters, refrigeration units, storage and transfer facilities for cryogenic, corrosive and toxic chemicals, polymerization reactions; industrial waste stabilization; wastewater treatment; sulfur recovery operations; gas processing plants; oil refining and petrochemical production operations.

Supervised a project task force staff of fifteen process systems engineers and designers on a 12,500 BPD MTBE Complex and C4 Catalytic Dehydrogenation project from the development stages through the design, procurement and early construction phases. Served as the field engineering site coordinator and directed the activities of the engineers and designers during the construction and commissioning phases of an Ethylene and Propylene production facility. Provided process systems engineering design support for a variety of petrochemical project facilities including an Ethylene and a Propylene Unit, a Catalytic Cracking Unit and two Propane and Butane Gas Processing Plants. As the PHA Team Leader, managed studies of two grassroots Propane and Butane Gas Processing Plants, associated Export Terminal Expansion Complexes and Refrigeration Units, a De-Isobutanizer and a Butamer Unit, a C4 Catalytic Dehydrogenation Unit and associated Continuous Catalyst Regeneration Unit, a MTBE Unit, a Methanol Recovery Unit, an Oxygenate Removal Unit, and a Complete Saturation Process. Participated in PHA evaluations of existing 1,3-Butylene Glycol and Plastic Extrusion Facilities.

As a Plant Process Engineer, I prepared the detailed process design package for a new Vanillin Unit storage facility and participated in rigorous HAZOP evaluations. I also resolved operating problems through troubleshooting and design modifications, performed safety reviews of new and modified installations and prepared process risk surveys of existing installations.
