I have worked in the international education sector for over 18 years specialising in the development of strategies, programs, events and volunteer management.My expertise lies in the areas of developing creative solutions to traditional challenges and have designed many innovative programs and events that meet the health and well-being needs of international students ranging from support services, participation & engagement to volunteering & leadership. I also sit on a number of committees that advocate for the welfare of international students studying in Australia.Emphasising on partnerships and collaborations, I have worked with many partner organisations for the implementation of award winning projects such as the ‘Act of Translation’ theatre project, the Lord Mayor’s Student Welcome, the Salvation Army 614 – The Couch, the EDGE Leaders’ Program and GLoBALL – a sporting program championed by Essendon Football Club.In January 2016, I was presented with the Australia Day Council ‘New Australian of the Year’ award for my accomplishments in supporting international students & promoting cultural diversity. This recognition has provided me with countless public speaking engagements across Australia which allows me to champion multiculturalism and the successes and contributions of international students in Australia.I am an Ambassador for Welcome to Australia, Bully Zero Australia Foundation (BZAF), the AFL Multicultural Community Program and Melbourne Victory. My interests include supporting critically ill children through my involvement with the Moroccan Children’s Appeal and engaging culturally & linguistically diverse communities through my dance initiatives PoisE’n and PoisE’n Bollypop.My other specialities include Community Engagement; International Student Projects and Programs; Event Management; Public Speaking, Social Innovation & Engaging CALD Communities through Performing Arts.
