With 40+ years in IT management in a variety of positions / companies and over 13 years in international IT Procurement @ PricewaterhouseCoopers, I continue to offer consulting services on ad hoc basis to companies (buyer or seller) needing to bridge the gap between parties who need Information Technology and related services and those who provide them with comprehensive and mutually beneficial procurement processes and final contracts.

Responsible for all IT activities and strategies in this NY Times Co. division (recently sold to Conde Nast) that publishes golfing magazines including Golf Digest, Golf Digest Woman, Golf World & Golf World Business. Did it and left as they were being spun off to Conde Nast magazine group. Nice place to work, mostly. Too bad I'm not a golfer as the related "perks" would have been fantastic!

Responsible for all IT activities and building facilities including mailroom, voice and data telecommunications, physical and data security in this satellite TV media company.

CIO-level role responsible for budgeting and reviews for all IT activities. Provided IT consulting services, including re-engineering, planning, design, and deployment including workflow analysis, alternative analysis & vendor identification, contract development & negotiation, system specification, project management, and training. Oversight on $12 million in decentralized IT budgets and 600 IT professionals.

Pioneered this corporate group as technological conscience/in-house IT consultancy in this decentralized, 20,000-employee firm. Consulted extensively at newspaper, magazine & database publishing Business Units on desktop publishing, production, advertising sales and support, accounting, office automation and networking technologies. Utilized e-mail, newsletters, electronic BBS, and Company seminars to provide a "clearing house" function. Conducted IT due diligence for acquisition/divestiture activities. Reported to CC/ABC's CFO and Publishing Group President.

Launched this pioneering, electronic publishing joint venture with Capital Cities/ABC, Inc., targeting electronics industry and design engineers with advertiser and user-supported, online electronics database. Part of Videotex precursor to the Internet explosion
