Develop and expand opportunities for the use of Highly Modified Asphalt (HiMA) through the asphalt/asphalt paving industry and specifiers, primarily in North America.

I am a registered professional engineer (Texas), with a broad background specializing in pavements and materials.

I provided technical support for Shell's Specialities Group in North America, which included civil engineering applications for sulphur (most notably, Shell Thiopave), establishment of a terminal footprint on the US Gulf Coast, crude oil evaluation before starting up bitumen refinery in St. Rose, LA. Once the bitumen business was underway, I was responsible for product quality at bitumen terminals handling roofing, unmodified and modified paving grades. This involved close cooperation with sales and operations staff, third party terminals, state DOT's and customers.I also supported introduction of Shell Bitumen products such as Shell Tixophalte Wet and Shell Bitufresh, and oversaw testing to support the introduction of these products in the United States.
