As the author of Passion for Wine published by Hastings House, this was a natural for me. My goal was to live in Sandpoint and work doing something I loved.My job was working with restaurateurs and hoteliers with the finest wines in the world. Wonderful job.

Living in Sandpoint on Lake Pend Oreille under Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort was a dream come true. We owned a home on Lakeshore overlooking the lake, and a weekend home on the Hope Peninsula.I was able to do something I truly loved for many years.

We bought the existing business Walker Donuts, and morphed into Wigleys Cafe, serving 200-500 daily, making it one of the busiest restaurants in Sandpoint, Idaho. We had many firsts in Sandpoint, including being the first full-service bakery, first Sushi restaurant, and much more.
