Art Director/Co-Founder
Sigtrap is an independent game and software developer based in the UK. Founded in 2014, we released our debut title in October 2015 called Sublevel Zero - a lo-fi procedural 6-degree-of-freedom shooter which mixes classics like Descent and Forsaken with the unforgiving roguelite mechanics. The game has also released on Playstation, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch as well as a fully-featured VR version for PCVR.In February 2024, Sigtrap launched it's second title - A VR co-op arcade shooter called Under Cover. Utilising an intuitive Active Cover System, take control of elite agents Magnum or Red-Eye and fight your way through sick cinematic gun-fu setpieces in an action-packed buddy-cop campaign. It is currently available on Meta Quest 2 and 3.Outside of developing our own games, we also offer work-for-hire services covering the majority of the development pipeline, from art to code and have worked with various clients on commercial releases.
Part-Time Paid Hourly Lecturer
Working as a part-time lecturer at the University of Huddersfield I provide industry insight and feedback to students completing the Team Project module of BA Computer Games Design. I work with the students to help them develop an understanding of the art production and design pipelines through efficient workflows and best practices.I also assess students’ work and provide formative and summative feedback.
