I am the Vice President for the Americas Strategy, Planning & Operations team at Cisco. In this role I lead strategy, planning and operations for the Americas which includes all sales market segments (Enterprise, Commercial, Service Provider & Public Sector) and functions (Channel, Software & Services, Business Development, Networking, Engineering & Architectures) in the U.S., Canada and LATAM. I also directly lead the Americas Market Development teams including Market Access, Public Funding, Insights and Business Value Optimization teams.

I was the Senior Director for U.S. Public Sector Strategy, Operations & Market Access. I worked with and for the Senior Vice President of U.S. Public Sector to help run our $+9B business. I led three teams that served Cisco's Public Sector Federal, state & local government and education (SLED) customers. The Strategy Team included business development (with focus on cloud, edge & cyber) and strategic engagements. The Operations Team included planning, market intelligence, administration and project/program management. The Market Access team included Certification & Compliance (hardware, software, SaaS, supply chain & services), Routes to Market (Proposals, Contracts, Capture & Public Funding). I was Director of Federal Strategy, Operation & Business Development in October, 2017. In this role, I was responsible for the strategic direction of Cisco's Federal business. I served as the strategic advisor to the Vice President of Cisco Federal and Chief of Staff. I led four teams - Federal Business Operations, Business Development, Vertical Strategy & the Federal Cloud PMO. I led business operations including sales goaling, headcount management, training & development. Our business development team is responsible for pipeline growth, market opening, capture, and project management. I managed the Federal administrative support, business analysis and cloud development teams. I continued to perform all duties listed under my previous role as Strategy, Planning and Operations Manager.

I served as the strategic advisor for the Vice President of Cisco Federal and led field Operations for Cisco's Federal business. I was responsible for Cisco Federal's strategic initiatives, planning and execution. I managed the business analysis and administrative support teams to drive operational excellence across the Federal sales team. My team supported three Federal market verticals (Civilian, Defense, and Intelligence Community / Law Enforcement) with four operations.Specific duties included: managing annual business planning activities; strategic planning; architectural support; systems/tools & reporting; market intelligence; Customer/program support; Structure, planning & implementation of Federal compensation plan; managing Federal personnel headcount, hiring, training & development; aligning Federal marketing and partner activities with strategic plan.

I was responsible for technology strategy and planning for Cisco's Federal Defense business. I had a particular emphasis on developing mission and business relevant capabilities to support the Department of Defense. These outcome-driven solutions spanned a range of technology areas including intelligent networking, hybrid/cloud data centers, connected devices & applications, collaboration, cybersecurity, and the Internet of Things.

I designed and built architectures for the Intelligence Community, U.S. Federal, and U.S. Public Sector including:- Intelligent, Programmable Networks & Software Defined Networking (SDN)- Internet of Things (IoT) & Internet of Everything (IoE)- Secure, virtualized data centers & cloud computing - Collaboration and unified communications - Cybersecurity, wireless, and secure mobility

InfoComm International was the trade association representing the professional audiovisual and information communications industries worldwide. InfoComm changed its name to AVIXA on September 13, 2017. I previously served as Secretary/Treasurer of InfoComm International, the first Officer position on the board leadership path.
