Project Control Specialist

•Collaborate with Accounting, PMO, and associate departments to establish controls•Use knowledge of accounting methods for spreadsheet development for reporting to accounting teams•Know contractor/vendor contracts, project cost elements, schedules, and forecasting and ensure compliance•Analyze actual costs and budget data of project spending to generate cost performance measurements •Perform analyses and prepare project financial reports for upper management relative to project cost incurrence, material costs, and labor spending•Perform Earned Value Management tasks including developing the work breakdown structure and performance measurement baseline, monitoring and analyzing the Estimate to Complete, Estimate at Complete, significant variances, and preparing of internal status reports•Project Team daily updates on work completed and plan of the day•Identify and communicate potential project budget and schedule risks •Research vendors for pricing, equipment availability, and ability to meet schedule milestones•Review subcontractor and vendor contracts, terms and conditions, costs, modifications, and schedule•Perform cost analysis on contractor proposals for contract negotiations•Review contracts and create change orders per terms and conditions to be negotiated•Contact potential subcontractors for proposals on future projects•Create and track purchase order submissions against project schedule•Participate in weekly meetings to collaborate with PM and Scheduler to update project schedule and forecast milestones using Primavera P6•Utilize daily communication methods, filing, and inventory updates via email and paper copies•Extensive use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Suite programs
