I began my career teaching in industry, winning the Service Quality Award at HFC Bank for designing a staff training Intranet site when such resources were still being established. After several years in the private sector teaching young people in Birmingham, I qualified with QTLS in 2011 and enjoyed my first role in Further Education, delivering Functional Maths, English and ICT on Apprenticeship Programmes. After developing my career in Manchester, and then working as a Curriculum Leader (Maths) for Andover College, I have moved into a support role in Higher Education, working to provide students with the best possible experience in Academic Quality. I remain a member of the Society for Education and Training and maintain a current entry as a teacher with QTLS status on the Professional Status Register.My interests include podcasting, photography, sculpture and writing (poetry & comedy).
