In housekeeping till I find another cruise ship.

Direct and control housekeeping operations and staff of the housekeeping department. And, co-ordinate between housekeeping crews to inspect assigned areas to ensure standards are met. An executive housekeeper manages many priorities and demands and is able to solve problems, support staff, as well as perform the duties of a housekeeper when required.

Just finished 3rd season!!Set up and serve meals in Dining Room. Clean guest cabins.Participate in evening entertainment activities as directed by the Hotel Manager. Diningroom: Set-up before meals. This includes setting the tables, preparing beverages, andbringing out any pre-set items prior to the meal. Meal service. This includes serving themeal, providing beverage service, and bussing tables throughout meal service. Clean up.Put away all dishes, silverware, glassware, etc. after they are washed. Wash down tablesand settees. Vacuum the dining room. Some items are then prepped for the next meal. Cleanstaterooms: Perform daily housekeeping tasks in guest staterooms. Each GSR typicallycleans 8-10 staterooms per day. Cocktailing: Set-up for social hour in the lounge. Bringappetizers to the lounge buffet from the galley. Re-fill appetizers, plates or silverwareas needed and bus the lounge. Take and deliver drink orders to the guests. Assist thebartender in cleaning up the lounge after dinner service begins. Assist bartender withwine service during dinner service. Turnaround days: On turnaround days, assist with theon loading of guest luggage, laundry and food stores, and the offloading of guest luggage,laundry and garbage. Clean assigned staterooms. Pitch in as directed or use initiative toensure the entire boat is cleaned and prepared for the next cruise. Phase duties: Completephase duties daily as directed by Lead GSR and Hotel Manager. Safety duties: Holds aposition on the ship's Emergency Station Bill. Must perform requirements of EmergencyStation Bill for both drills and actual emergencies to include fire, flooding, manoverboard, abandon ship, medical, and spill response. Also participates in one crew safetymeeting per week and takes a turn as the safety lead on a rotational basis.

Perform common household tasks to maintain a clean work place. This may com in the form of sweeping floors, cleaning walls and windows and throwing the trash. Make simple repairs that do not need professional help. Such repairs can include repairing wall panels and the like. Simple security measures such as locking doors and closing windows is also included in the functions of a wall cleaner. Continuous monitoring of the cleanliness of facilities and other equipment. Informs the management for the need of extensive repairs and other major renovations in the work area or office. Perform simple sterilization procedures such as boiling rugs and other cloths. Initiate simple wood repairs that do not need require major attention. Paints ceilings and other equipment that fall under minor repairs. Monitoring hazards in the establishment such as those related to fire and electricity. Cleans walls, windows and corridors in case of snow or other debris. Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in restrooms and other places in the building.learned to clean in a fast timely manner while insuring a detail clean !
