Hi! Allow me to formally introduce myself.My legal name is Kyriakos Mikellis, however, I am socially known by my English alternative name as Gary.I am a Senior Graphic Designer and a mid-level Front-End Developer with fifteen years of combined experience in the creative industry. As an innate creative, my pursuit in my chosen fields started during my self-discovery teenage years. I found my muse in traditional art mediums which ignited a passion to pursue a creative career.I started by attending a formal institution to lay the rudimentary foundation for Graphic Design. During this time, I accepted a position at a printing and branding company as a desktop publisher. An environment which introduced me to the professional industry of translating corporate brands onto designed printed products. The practical experience taught me the fundamentals on brand presentation, layouts and achieving colour accuracy for prints.As a fresh graduate from college, a brand-new chapter introduced itself as a job opportunity. An inhouse sublimation and printing company employed me as the manager of their intimate team. The managerial role included overseeing the production lines and B2B customer service. I fulfilled my role effectively given the prior experience I gained whilst studying. The team dynamic was exceptionally beneficial towards my skills development and self-discovery as a professional and a team player.It was time to indulge a new prickling interest that would dually compliment the established design skill set that I have nurtured over the years. Web development reunited me with a student enrollment application which, upon completion, paved the way to a lucrative world. I entered the marketing division in the retail sector, officially recruited as a Graphic Designer and Web Developer.Such accomplishments motivate continued growth and development! I believe that hard work, self-improvement, curiosity, and passion are key foundational principles necessary to become a well-rounded professional.
