After the divestment process, with NCC Software Testing moving into Qualitest, my key involvement was the business transformation and integration processes as well as ensuring business continuity, particularly in the finance operations.

I was part of the Senior Management Team for the Software Testing Division and led the Operations Team. A key part of my role was to optimise processes across the business, mapping and validating as well as implementing a number of crucial process changes in sales admin, service delivery, KPI production and reporting, all of which led to significant business improvements. I also owned the subsequent change management and continuous improvement as well as responsibility for Compliance and Information Security for the Division.I maintained an end to end knowledge of the business through forecasting (monthly and annual), KPI reports produced for the Division Director and the Board and by working closely with Sales and Delivery Managers, Management Accountants and back offices such as Finance, Legal and Compliance. I was also accountable for commercial QA of new deals, maintaining excellent profit margins, while also succeeding in significantly improving cash conversion and debt recovery positions.During the merger and acquisition phase, I played a central role in providing key data for information memorandum, due diligence / data room, management presentations and liaised closely with legal, management accounting and third party M&A advisory team. I also carried out much of the finance reporting due to my end to end knowledge of the business.

As a new start-up company, I was involved in the formation of the business and all subsequent legal and compliance aspects of setting up a business in the United Arab Emirates.I held project responsibility within Oil & Gas, Governmental, Military and Private Sectors, which involved the initiation and implementation of projects across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. Additionally, I lead the development, production and implementation of Master Security Planning, Training and Standard Operating Procedures for Land, Maritime and Aviation Security contracts, creating and delivering Evacuation & Contingency Planning policies and Market Entry Strategies for Oil & Gas clients in Iraq.I also held overall responsibility for the Maritime Security Division of the business where we successfully deployed Sri-Lankan Maritime Security Officers on board vessels transiting across the Indian Ocean and Gulf of Guinea.

I played a prime function as part of the Senior Management team, undertaking entire accountability for the business operations within Iraq, with responsibility for over 1,000 employees.I was responsible for the in-country P&L, producing and overseeing budgets in excess of $90m per annum, maintaining excellent profit margins whilst also leading all in-country Business Development and Accounts/Contract Management.Much of my role was in overseeing and directing a wide range of security projects across multiple locations in Iraq, demonstrating effective project leadership ability when focusing on CAPEX / OPEX budgetary control, effective stakeholder and client management, project mobilisation and demobilisation, risk management, and when managing a team of project and operations managers. I developed and evolved policies, created company-wide Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as composing business plans, risk assessments, competitor analysis, SWOT analysis and market research reports.During my time in the role, I managed significant organisational change with an acquisition of another security company, achieving a successful integration of the two business units and subsequent management of in-country stakeholders such as clients and government departments.
