With nearly two decades of experience in residential construction management, I founded and operated G&T Home Improvements from 2001 to the end of 2019. My journey was marked by ensuring timely project completion, enhancing team capabilities, and fostering a professional on-site culture. As the owner, I addressed challenges with a proactive problem-solving approach, reflecting my commitment to excellence. Leveraging skills in construction site inspections and pre-construction processes, my role was instrumental in maintaining client satisfaction and upholding high standards of workmanship. Our success stemmed from clear communication with homeowners and a robust work ethic, ensuring that projects not only met but exceeded expectations.

Project Management SpecialistG&T Home Improvements Mar 2000 - Feb 2018Begin as lower level Laborer, mechanical thinking, and problem-solving came naturally. For every project I was on I asked specific questions, what is the reason for doing this? Wanted certain things explained so I have the proper training I could tell someone else was asked. Over the years I advanced higher in command until I became a successful General contractor. I worked right with my employees and vendors and clients. I've let the employees help think about why it's done this way or if can we do it another way and what works best. I ask them questions about what they think or have ideas. Everyone grows faster and learns more. I handle all the budgets, schedules, ordering, planning, records, contact information, and even pick-up transport to and from sites. I worked long hours 7 days weekends volunteer. All my work came with a 1-year warranty and 100%/satisfaction. I built respectful professional workmanship, customer service trust loyalty friendships. All my business came from customer referrals. Along the journey, I've picked up certain commercial construction skills. Continue to learn something every day while working hard and having fun while performing the tasks. I was told by many different people when I was a subcontractor to remember to charge what your skills and time are worth and don't undersell yourself. Fair pricing and when it came time to get a rise from them, that was a no-go charge to others, not them. I moved on and they recognized later that they made the mask, I gave 120% and always went the extra distance for employers and customers, and sustain tasks didn't even charge, always when finished with projects I leave with the area cleaner than when I started. A little extra performance never hurts anyone and builds ethics and morals respect and while doing so being a polite good manner human. Take pride in everything I build.
