After a long career at Verizon Wireless, I took the oppertunity to open my own consignment/boutique in Rock Falls, IL. As a small busines owner, I manage advertising, create promotions, customer service, sales, networking, purchasing COGS, and everything in-between. Yesterday was my education, Today is my present and Tomorrow is what I plan for.

Develop, manage and integrate Midwest Area-wide communications initiatives designed to increase employee understanding of the company's mission, goals, key initiatives, core values and ongoing performance against business goals. Serve as the liaison with Verizon Wireless Headquarters Employee Communications Team to help facilitate the delivery of communication materials and initiatives across the area. Work closely with the region PR managers in sharing pertinent information regarding HQ and Area employee communication strategies and ensuring Regional employee communications efforts are aligned with overall goals/objectives. Assist PR managers, as needed, in developing Region-specific communications, leveraging resources across the Area.

Manage all aspects of internal communications department, designing and implementing effective systems that significantly enhance communications and productivity. Interact with internal departments to assess communication needs; liaise between business and technology departments to implement new system launches. Coordinate with various vendors in to support system / initiative rollouts. Conduct biyearly staff reviews and monthly one-on-one mentoring sessions, emphasizing extensive professional training.Selected Accomplishments:• Reduced monthly-required sales communications from 200 to 20 by conceptualizing, designing, and executing “Info-to-Go” Email, RSS, and text messaging systems.• Incorporated internal video into communication and training curriculum.• Developed, introduced, and launched an effective electronic queue, resulting in easier and manageable communication requests from all departments.• Earned multiple awards as a result of implementing various innovative communication methods that significantly increase productivity while decreasing workloads.• Redefined sales communication tool (InfoManager, InfoCenter) to serve as a nationwide application for internal / indirect use, contributing to significant company growth.

Held full responsibility for 80% of the Midwest intranets; demonstrated strong management and leadership skills, successfully managing Verizon Wirelss.com and B2B Web sites. Supervised daily activities of multiple Web developers. Selected Accomplishment:• Played a key role in the successful launch and maintenance of company intranet site.• Assisted in the development of VerizonWireless and an information website to a complete e-commerce solution.• Managed diverse teams to verify pricing and product consistence on Verizonwireless.com and internal websites.• Developed marketing plans to drive traffic through successful new sales channel, consistently exceeding sales goals.

Designed and successfully operated and owned a local magazine called Wassup! with a circulation of 50,000 throughout the Chicago area. Distribution was through local business supported by advertisements and targeted to 21–40 year old bar and restaurant customers. • Sold advertising, managed the finances, customer service, promotions with businesses.

Consistently broke sales records in new activations, renewals and accessory sales.
