Having spent over forty years selling and managing salespeople in the musical instrument, contract office furniture and consumer packaging industries, I now enjoy working part-time in the Golf Shop at The Donald Ross Course in French Lick, IN. Our course is rated in the Top 20 Resort Golf Courses in America, and provides golfers with the quintessential experience of playing a classic Donald Ross designed course. Our Golf Shop offers customers a wide variety of top quality golf supplies and apparel. The shop also contains many artifacts and historical photographs of the golf course which was built in 1917 and which hosted the 1924 PGA Championship. The course was completely renovated to its original design in 2008, and was recognized by Golf Magazine and the second-best course renovation in the country. The course is home to The Donald Ross Classic, one of the most prestigious tournaments on the LPGA's Symetra Tour. The tournament takes place each year in early June.The French Lick and West Baden Resorts have both undergone world-class restorations since being purchased by Cook Medical in 2006. These resorts offer first-class amenities to all guests, and a casino is connected to the French Lick Resort. The Pete Dye Course and the Valley Links Course are also part of the resort complex.
