While at Couchbase, I was fortunate to work with some very talented people, both in the headquarters and in their other locations. My role was critical, in that the company needed to staff up quickly to continue to have development and support personnel in place for their powerful server, mobile, and integration products. In preparation for their IPO planning, I was tasked with interviewing, screening and placing candidates in technical sales, finance and marketing. During my brief contract period, I hit 110% of the headcount goal assigned to me by bringing on candidates for roles needing RoR, NoSQL, C++, and JavaScript experience. My expertise with multiple ATS (JobDiva, Jobvite, Bullhorn) made it possible for me to efficiently find and track both actively looking and passive candidates for these positions. Couchbase counts many of the world's biggest brands as its customers, including Amadeus, Bally’s, Beats Music, Cisco, Comcast, Concur, Disney, Orbitz, Rakuten, Tencent, Walmart and Verizon, as well as hundreds of other household names. Couchbase is headquartered in Silicon Valley, and is funded by Accel Partners, Adams Street Partners, Ignition Partners, Mayfield Fund, and North Bridge Venture Partners.

I signed on for this three month contract to help Collabnet ramp up for expansion, working with four other recruiters to find candidates for roles in sales and technical positions. While there, I found and interviewed candidates for positions including Full Stack Engineers, Test Engineers, and Java Developers, exceeding the hiring managers' expectations. The key to my success here was establishing and maintaining meaningful relationships with management and key cross-functional stakeholders internally.

As a Senior Technical Recruiter for Albin, I brought with me the ability to comprehend and identify what type of person the client is looking for, by fostering and building relationships with hiring managers at our clients. In addition to Fortune 500 clients, I was honored to work with Trimble Navigation, Berkeley & Livermore Labs, as well as KLA-Tencor and Lithiumstart. Though my role was that of recruiter, through my relationship building and strong network, I was able to close EA Sports as a new account for Albin.

In starting and building G & M, I managed a lean team of dedicated individuals to partner with enterprise clients as well as SMB, including RealD, Magnet Systems, Xactly, and Infoblox. My philosophy as Managing Partner at G&M was to provide clients with 1) world-class service, 2) consultation on best practices in hiring, 3) assistance with interviewing techniques to discover the talents and skill sets of the candidates, and 4) well-screened, immediately available candidates for their new roles. Our specialty was to find qualified passive candidates for those "hard-to-fill" positions. For our candidates, we shepherded the individuals through the hiring process and fully apprised them about the company and its culture to determine if there was a fit. Our end goal was to ensure that there was a match between the candidate's career goals and our client's needs for the long-term, to create a long-lasting career for the new hire, and a happy, committed long-term employee for our client.

My employment with the companies (Chubb/ACE/Aon/Combined) was a total of 11 years, spanning from eight years (1986-1993) for Aon PLC, and then returning from 2005 to 2008 to ACE, which was acquired by Chubb. I had left Aon to pursue an acting career from 1993 to 2005. After a series of acquisitions (Ace/Aon/Chubb), I was recruited and came to work for the company again from 2005 to 2008. They wanted me to rejoin the newly formed company to build an elite sales force and surpass goals as I had done before. Promoted from Sales Manager to Market Director.During my tenure, I managed a territory of Central California and Nevada. I hired and trained an a team of salespeople to sell risk management, insurance/reinsurance, and HR/Outsourcing services. Ranked #1 in sales actuals vs goals for 42 out of 47 weeks. Weekly sales revenue topped $2.5M per week (117% of quota). Consistently ranked Top 5 in 87 different markets.

Built a sales team that broke 32 national sales records. Created and developed management training curriculum. Acquired by ACE, which. through acquisitions, became Chubb.
