• Coordinated Fuel Cell Demonstration Project with the Environmental Protection Agency at the Ariel Rios building in Washington, D.C.• Finalized details of demonstration with Environmental Protection Agency representatives including interactive kiosk, Fuel Cell Power Unit, and hydrogen fuel storage/supply.• Worked closely with the General Services Administration to address all issues related with installing and operating a Fuel Cell Power Unit during a period of national high alert.• Lead design and startup of Fuel Cell Power Unit meeting stringent requirements of GSA and EPA.• Hosted GSA and EPA representatives for demonstration of Fuel Cell Power Unit in simulated application.• Completed and submitted considerable documentation required by GSA and EPA.• Demonstration project cancelled weeks before ribbon cutting due to resignation of current EPA Director and subsequent appointment of new EPA Director.

• Selected to coordinate Fuel Cell demonstration at the Technical Center in Warren, Michigan for the 60 Minutes television program with Dan Rather.• Given extremely short time frame of six weeks to complete demonstration including:- Resurrect decommissioned Fuel Cell Power Unit- Verify foolproof operation of system in simulated application- Transport system to Warren, MI and install in Technical Center- Integrate with building supplies and lighting system- Verify foolproof operation of system in actual application• Coordinated segment details with 60 minutes producer.• Dan Rather started the Fuel Cell Power Unit with a single button push and illuminated Technical Center Building on the first take.

• Designed and commissioned updated performance characterization test stand (still in use today):- improved accuracy of results from +/- 15% to +/- 5%- reduced time to perform measurements from ~6 hours to less than 1 minute• Designed and implemented first sheet style device – this design approach is still used in our world class Water Vapor Transfer Unit which is sold to our competitors.• Performed full characterization and benchmarking of competing devices

• $14 Million work agreement formed as a result of legal action between General Motors and Johnson Matthey.• Lead program definition for catalyst development and supply for all aspects of gasoline fuel processing.• Conducted regular status reviews and program scoping meetings with Johnson Matthey management and engineering to ensure maximum return on agreement for General Motors.• Focused on a clearly stated target based program designed to feed General Motors Fuel Processing program.- Turned an initially adversarial relationship into a very successful collaboration.- Final work product considered world class in the industry for both Johnson Matthey and General Motors.
