As the Nuclear Lead in WTW's global Construction Industry vertical, I spearhead initiatives aimed at optimizing construction, commercialization, operations, and ERM for WTW's nuclear industry clients, as well as for contractor clients involved in nuclear-related construction and decommissioning projects. My responsibilities include helping and guiding "New Nuclear" clients with strategic advisory and risk mitigation services across the planning, design, construction, and commercialization stages of their projects. With more than 40 years of experience in the nuclear industry, I've provided strategy consulting, risk advisory, safety, procurement, auditing, ERM, and/or performance improvement services for dozens of clients on high visibility projects.I also champion other renewable energy solutions to help reduce carbon emissions. Recently, for example, I led a construction insurance needs assessment for a solar and wind power, transmission, and energy storage project that's expected to reduce fossil fuel-fired generation from the electric grid by more than 20% annually, and prevent nearly 50 million tons of CO2 emissions by 2040.In my role at WTW, I'm thrilled to be actively engaged in both the resurgence of traditional power reactors and the commercialization of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs). Further to this, I'm delighted to be able to contribute to the development, adoption, and acceleration of fusion and hydrogen power alternatives, while also supporting global reactor decommissioning efforts and enhancing ancillary services that are vital to the industry, including waste management, transport, and storage.
