I fulfill my CFO responsibilities in a hybrid-remote environment (live in Fort Lauderdale/job in St. Louis).With over 30 years of industry experience in accounting and finance, I am the Chief Financial Officer at Doorways Interfaith AIDS Housing and Services, a not-for-profit (NFP) organization that provides housing and supportive services to people living with HIV/AIDS. As a CPA and MBA, I have the credentials and competencies to lead the financial operations and strategic direction of the organization, working effectively with the President, the Board of Directors, and various stakeholders.I currently co-lead a transformative strategic plan initiative to develop a $40M three-acre campus, creating a new national model for HIV/AIDS housing. I oversee every aspect of the accounting, finance, public funding, and real estate development functions, including securing and managing federal tax credits, subordinated debt, capital campaign contributions, and bank credit facilities. I have also increased the total revenue and net income of the organization significantly, and received multiple accolades and awards for my work, such as the Champion Award from PROMO and the Business of Pride Award from the St. Louis Business Journal. I am passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of our clients and the community through my financial leadership and expertise. My team has secured three multimillion-dollar HUD Projects of National Significance in the last six years (811 Capital Advance, HOPWA HIFA and SURE operating grants). Twice I have secured anonymous $1 million philanthropic contributions.
