About Gary Watson

Vice President of Solutions, managing Capture and Sales Engineering. Architect of counter-UAS systems for commercial and military users around the world. Specializing in layered defenses with the lowest possible risk of collateral damage, and operations in compliance with all applicable laws and policies. Fortem uses miniature phased array AESA radars, various RF sensors, and EO/IR cameras to detect, track, and identify intruders. Fortem uses multiple types of effectors to capture or otherwise disable intruding UAS when laws and policies allow. Key to the success of this platform is the cutting-edge use of AI/ML including Convolutional Neural Networks to assess the Threat Level of a given radar target. Managed the proposal creation process, in compliance with customer requirements and DFARS and similar rules in foreign countries. Attended trade shows in the US, France, and UAE for Fortem and in dozens of countries during my 20 years at Nexsan.
