For over 30 years I've been a passionate advocate for a variety of public policy issues. Now I'm putting my skills to work helping people buy or sell homes in mid-Michigan. GLEP is a bi-partisan, non-profit advocacy organization supporting quality educational choices for all Michigan children. GLEP consists of a c(3) education entity, a c(4) advocacy organization, and a 527 Political Action Committee.

Responsible for leading the division of Strategic Partnerships for the nation’s first and largest university authorizer of charter public schools. Coordinate legislative, regulatory & communication activities on behalf of the Center and our 60 schools, including legislative tracking, testimony at Senate and House committees and liaison with the Governor’s Office, Michigan Department of Education and other state departments on education reform issues. Team leader on successful effort to eliminate the legislative cap on university-authorized charter public schools in 2011. Also responsible for statewide media and communication efforts through extensive relationships with reporters and editorial staff. Leading the team working to revamp and relaunch the organization’s various external and internal websites.

MAPSA is the unified voice of the state's charter school movement, representing over 100,000 students and 5,000 teachers in 232 public charter schools. I am primarily responsibile for legislative relations and internal/external communications.

I taught JRN 205, a "Writing for the Media" course through the School of Journalism at MSU.
