Nihr Rdncc Active National Delivery Lead

Current

National Role, Based In Newcastle Upon Tyne

A new role created as part of the evolution of the NIHR CRN into the new NIHR Research Delivery Network. This is an exciting new role that leads on the design and subsequent operational delivery of this new national service, which will enable a national, system-wide approach to optimising and expediting study planning, set up and delivery support. This new function will provide a dedicated business unit, which will partner with a study sponsor, to provide an Active National Delivery Service for multi-site commercial studies and a small number of nationally important non-commercial studies. The service will support sponsors to effectively plan, set up and deliver studies in the UK. For commercial studies, this would be provided as a paid-for service whereby the sponsor would be expected to contract with the RDN on a cost-recovery basis. This new service will involve ensuring business triage of enquiries, working up of an offer to sponsors and co-ordination of advice and oversight activities, whilst working closely with national and local leads to deliver specific studies or portfolios of studies at pace and scale.
