As an experienced Archaeological GeoData Scientist I work over a wide range of inter and multi-discipline topics. I am currently exploring the analytical potential of 3D archaeological data in a move beyond my PhD research (University of Groningen) which pushed analytical approaches to 2D datasets as far as possible.As an alumni of UCL's GIS and Spatial Analysis in Archaeology (2006-2007) I have experience with a wide range of digital methods which I am continuously developing: databases (relational and object, incl. online), GIS, spatial analysis, agent based modelling, remote sensing technologies (from aerial photography, to LiDAR, including landscape analysis), Photogrammetry for landscapes and excavations, 3D scanning of objects.Before my post-graduate studies I was a professional archaeologist, I obtained a Higher National Diploma and a B.Sc. in practical archaeology and archaeology. I have worked in commercial archaeology and local government. At GGAT my role was advising the 12 Welsh councils of South Wales on archaeology in relation to planning applications. At Gloucestershire Historic Environment Record I promoted archaeology within local primary schools as well as supplying the public, government sectors, and commercial companies with archaeological information, again within the planning system. I always welcome the opportunity to collaborate on innovative and interesting projects. My specialisms are (but not restricted to): Neolithic, GIS, Spatial Analysis (R, GRASS, QGIS, ArcGIS, Linux), VProMap (efficient digitising software), Databases (Postgresql, MySQL, Access) 3D Scanning, WebGL(3D web visualisation) web design (Html, Php), Photogrammetry, amongst overs.
